Queen Hires Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Former Communications Director

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals and moved to North America, they had to relinquish 15 British staff members, one of whom will remain with the family. Sarah Latham, communications director for Meghan and Harry, was hired by the Queen. Prior to joining the Sussex family, Latham was a senior advisor to Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign, worked for Bill Clinton in the 1990s, and advised Barack Obama after his election as president in 2008.

What's the news from across the pond with Meghan and Harry in Los Angeles? Well, Donald Trump tweeted on Sunday that "the US will not pay for their security protection" (opens in new tab) and "they have to pay!" he declared. A royal spokesperson said the couple "have no plans to seek security resources from the U.S. government" and have already "arranged for security at their own expense."
