Meghan Markle has not yet been able to see her mother Doria Ragland in LA due to COVID-19.

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the royal family and moved to Los Angeles (open in new tab) last month, it was no secret that one of their motivations was Meghan's mother Doria Ragland (open in new tab).

Meghan and Harry have reportedly been in California (opens in new tab) for a little over a week, but apparently they are socially isolated and taking it very seriously. According to a new report in The Sun (opens in new tab), Meghan, Princess has been advised not to have contact with her 63-year-old mother during the current coronavirus pandemic.

The Sun reports that Harry and Meghan are practicing social distancing (open in new tab) at a "secluded mansion in a private gated community" and that Meghan wants to "focus on her charitable work" while she cannot visit her mother.

"Meghan is absolutely heartbroken," said one source about how Meghan is taking the delayed reunion. After all, "one of the main reasons she decided to live in L.A. was to be closer to her mother. Due to her age, Doria obviously has to be careful, and Megan and Harry strictly adhere to all formal guidelines regarding coronavirus."

Like the rest of us, Meghan utilizes technology to stay connected while keeping her social distance (open in new tab).

"They are WhatsApping and FaceTiming almost daily, but obviously it's not the same," the source added.

"Megan is using the time in isolation to plan her future and explore different good deeds she can get behind."

Megan's plans for distraction (open in new tab) sound much more productive than my deep dive into the Netflix and Hulu vortex.
