Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had to adjust their plans for Archie's birthday

No surprise: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had apparently planned a birthday party for their son Archie Harrison, but were forced to cancel to keep it on a smaller scale. (The little cutie was born on May 6, 2019, and shortly after, the world collectively fell in love with the photo.) This makes sense, since COVID-19 has caused many events, large and small, to be canceled.

According to sources who spoke to Us Weekly (opens in new tab), apparently the original plan was for the Queen to visit Balmoral, Scotland. That apparently will not happen at this time and the Queen will be visited at a later date. And then there was to be a small party at her new home in Los Angeles. But of course, due to social distance issues, that will not happen either. California has been particularly hard hit by COVID-19 and is currently under an evacuation order (opens in new tab).

Apparently, ""There will only be three of us,"" a source said." Meghan's best friend, Jessica Mulroney, was also expected to attend, but the "Suits" alum noted that she "refuses to take risks" with guests and travel. Meghan's mother is much closer to her than Mulroney, but there is no mention of her - according to reports, Meghan has not actually met Doria yet because of COVID-19.

One thing still on Archie's special occasion menu is animal-themed cupcakes! Archie loves animals. He has lots of animal books and fluffy toys." I wonder if he's seen the Disney elephant documentary (opens in new tab) that his mother narrates?

The last time we officially saw this adorable bean was in a 2019 montage via the (now closed) Sussex Royal website:

But Meghan and Harry said part of the reason they stepped down as senior royals was because their son stated that it was because they wanted to protect their privacy.
