Prince William opens up about the stress Prince Charles experienced when he contracted the coronavirus.

Prince William opened up about his father Prince Charles' coronavirus diagnosis (opens in new tab) for the first time in a candid video interview with Kate Middleton. The royal couple video-chatted with BBC Breakfast and discussed a wide range of topics, including Prince Charles' health.

"I have to admit, I was quite worried at first. 'My father has had a number of chest infections and colds over the years. So I figured if anyone could beat this, it would be him."

William noted that Charles had "very mild symptoms" and that "what he found most painful was having to stop. And he couldn't go for a breath of fresh air or take a walk. He loves to walk, and he loves to walk, so I think it was pretty hard for him. I don't think it's good for his mental health, especially when he's stuck in the house and can't go for walks."

William also said, "From doctors and friends, "Listen, when we find out about this disease, he's probably past his worst period. Talking to him obviously gave us more reassurance that he was going to be okay, but again, at that age, you worry a little bit more."

He also hinted that he worries about his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, saying, "I obviously think very carefully about my grandparents.

I hope everyone in the Royal Family is safe and healthy.
