Prince Harry's resemblance to a young Prince Charles sends fans into a frenzy.

Prince Harry's beard is now something of a trademark. While his brother Prince William (open in new tab) has only a few bits of facial hair (open in new tab), it seems that his father, Prince Charles, also grew a beard for a time. And the bearded Prince Charles (open in new tab) bears a striking resemblance to his son Prince Harry (open in new tab).

It was recently revealed that Prince Harry and Prince Philip (open in new tab) look so much alike that no one ever noticed before. When a vintage magazine cover (opens in new tab) featuring a bearded Prince Philip (opens in new tab) came to light, the similarities between grandfather and grandson were uncanny. And now, thanks to the proliferation of a 1976 photo of Prince Charles (opens in new tab), it is clear that Harry looks just like his father, too.

Prince Charles (open in new tab), photographed at the Badminton Equestrian Games in April and May of 1976, can be seen sporting a beard. As far as we know, Prince Charles has never grown facial hair in public, so it is a bit odd to see William and Harry's father (opens in new tab) sporting a beard. And thanks to these photos, it's hard not to compare Charles to his son Harry:

As the Express (opens in new tab) noted, fans are understandably enthusiastic about the father-son comparison.

It is also a perfect opportunity to revisit the (short-lived) anniversary of Prince William's beard in 2008:

The resemblance between Prince Harry and his father is undeniable.
