Prince Louis and his father, Prince William, share birthday photo of twins

Prince Louis seems to be taking some style cues from his father, Prince William.

On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a new photo (opens in new tab) of their youngest son via the Kensington royal family's Instagram account. In the photo, Prince Louis is smiling from ear to ear and wearing an adorable plaid blue button-down shirt.

Prince William wore a similar casual outfit when he traveled to Australia in 2014 with his wife, Duchess Kate, and then-young Prince George. While viewing animals at Sydney's Taronga Zoo, the prince, second in line to the throne, was photographed wearing a nearly identical checked button-down with navy blue slacks.

In the realm of men's fashion, this outfit combination is by no means unique to the Cambridges, but it is still endearing to see father and son both making the same styling choices.

"In anticipation of his second birthday, here's a sneak peek of Prince Louis' handiwork! !" the caption on Kensington Palace's Instagram page reads. Duchess Kate, a photography enthusiast, snapped a photo of her youngest son earlier this month. The Cambridges are currently quarantined at their villa in Sandringham (opens in new tab), following government orders to stay home amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
