It's a girl Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are expecting a girl together, a purported family source told TMZ (opens in new tab).

The media outlet first broke the pregnancy news yesterday, reporting that Hadid was 20 weeks pregnant. Another source told Entertainment Tonight (opens in new tab) that the couple is "overjoyed" with the new chapter.

"Gigi and Zayn are expecting their first child together and the couple is so excited!" A source told ET. 'Gigi has been keeping it a secret from family and friends for a while, as she's only a few months along. Since Gigi and Zayn got back together late last year, it was as if they never left any stone unturned and knew what they had created between them was something special. The couple and their family are overjoyed."

After the report broke, fans speculated that Hadid's recent birthday celebration may have also served as a gender reveal party. In her birthday Instagram post, Hadid's birthday balloons showed pink and blue strings, the colors usually used for such unveilings. Also, a bag from her sister Bella to Gigi read: "Hello, little one."

Hadid also recently hinted that she would like to have a family. in a February interview with i-D magazine (opens in new tab), she discussed how her modeling career might develop in the future talked about how she imagines her modeling career will develop in the future.

"As I get older, ......

"As I get older, I think I will have a family one day," she said. I love the creative side of fashion. The people I work with make me very happy. But maybe I'll end up cooking full time."
