Kate Middleton shares cute secret about Prince Louis' messy birthday photos

It's very hard to imagine Kate Middleton, the duchess of shiny hair and wrinkle-free dresses, in a mildly disheveled state, but apparently she made a similar mess when she took birthday portraits (opens in new tab) of her youngest son, Prince Louis, earlier this year. Appearing on the British TV show "This Morning" on Thursday, Kate reflected on the photos she took of Prince Louis before his second birthday to launch a public photo project on the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Louis' face and hands were covered in paint during the photo shoot, and apparently Kate was no different.

"You should have taken a picture of me after the shoot!" Kate said. Kate said, according to People's coverage (opens in new tab), "Fortunately, it wasn't recorded, but I looked pretty much like Louie at the end of them."

Kate said.

Kate also spoke about a photo (opens in new tab) taken before Princess Charlotte's fifth birthday. Kate said she hoped the photo would inspire the public to submit their work to Hold Still, a photography project developed in collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery in London.

"Again, this is part of a collection, and Charlotte's photographs in particular were part of a collection that was trying to tell a story," the Duchess of Cambridge said.

"And we hope that people will be inspired through this project.
