Chrissy Teigen and Alison Lohman: What You Need to Know About This Feud

Cookbook author, writer, and food personality Allison Lohman had harsh words for the careers of Chrissy Teigen and Marie Kondo in an interview published Thursday in The New Consumer (opens in new tab), saying that Teigen's career is "horrifying ." and that Kondo is a sellout. On Friday night, Teigen responded on Twitter, writing candidly, "I have never been more disappointed in the words of a fellow food lover," and "As a longtime fan of Mr. Roman's, I am hurt and disappointed. Teigen wrote, "I was sick of dealing with this all day, but I couldn't not say something."

Later, Roman apologized to Teigen on her Twitter page, refuting her initial comments as "thoughtless" and "careless." But the damage was done, and Roman, Teigen, and Kondo's fans all spoke of how disappointed they were, and the Internet turned against Roman, the beloved food personality known for her New York Times recipes. The full story is as follows.

Of Teigen, Roman said: "What Chrissy Teigen has done is crazy to me. She had a successful cookbook. And then this happened: Boom, she was in line at Target. Now she has an Instagram page with over a million followers. I would be horrified by that and would never want to do that. I would never aspire to that. But she's making a lot of money."

Roman also had harsh words for Kondo: "When Marie Kondo decides to ride on her fame and make something that can be bought, it's completely against everything she's ever taught or ...... the idea that you can make anything! Someone would say, "You should make things," and she'd be like, "Okay, slap my name on it, I don't care!" And it was like,"

.

Even before Teigen spoke out, Twitter was defending the woman often referred to as the "Queen of Twitter (open in new tab)" as well as Kondo.

And John Legend, of course, jumped in to tell her how great she was:

As did her fans, including celebrities:

Later that day, Roman tweeted directly to Teigen:

She explained did:

In other words, Roman's comments kinda sucked, which Roman herself admitted. Nevertheless, the majority of the internet agrees with Roman, and Roman admitted in a tweet before Teigen could respond:

So, yeah, the comment was wrong, but Roman being bullied on the internet is also not okay.
