Bella Hadid was to be a Strawberry Blonde at the 2020 Met Gala

Yes, the 2020 Met Gala was originally scheduled for May 4 (opens in new tab). And I was about a week late to the Met Gala challenge, which flooded social media in honor of that date. However, I stumbled upon Bella Hadid's hair and beauty look scheduled for the event, which was postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak, and her hair transformation was so impressive that I felt it was my solemn duty to inform you all.

Makeup artist Sam Visser (open in new tab) shared a series of photos taken by Alana O'Herlihy (open in new tab) at the 2020 Met Gala "screen test". As a side note, this is the first time I've heard of a celebrity doing a screen test for a red carpet event. It makes total sense! But it's all so intense!

Hadid tried two hairstyles with her long strawberry blonde hair prior to the gala; in one photo, she wore her hair in loose curls with heavy bangs. Her makeup was done by Visser and has a 70's look. Soft purple eyes, glossy brown lips, and strong peachy blush.

In the next series of photos, Hadid wears her hair long and straight, with light, puffy bangs. Her makeup is 90s-00s-inspired, with pale gloss lips and smoky eyes. Kim Kardashian clearly loved this second look and commented "WOW"
