Natasha Rothwell talks about her most agonizing career decision.

Natasha Rothwell, writer, producer, and actress of Insecure, will hit the silver screen this summer with Wonder Woman 1984. But before she does, she has a hilarious response to Marie Claire's questionnaire.

1. If I wasn't a "Hollywood-type creator": graphic designer or interior decorator. I have always been told I have a good eye. I think that's why I like directing.

2. best career advice I've ever received I can be a basic bitch with a string of quotes. These may not be advice because they weren't said directly, but they were the most inspiring to me: "Steve Martin"), and "Be prolific, not perfect. Sadly, I don't know who said this, but it's a good quote.

3. I am where I am today because of three qualities: work hard. It sounds cliché, but I work hard. Kindness. Kindness and compassion are very important to me. Instead of saying no to myself, let others say no to me. There are many critics in the world who want to criticize me and limit who I can and cannot be. So I try not to be.

4. most difficult career decision ever: turning down a role as a ladybug in Cirque du Soleil. True story. It was either that or take my chances. Almost a year after I turned it down, I landed a writing job at SNL.

5. Easiest career decision ever: Saying yes to the role of Kelly in Insecure. A dream come true.

6. change I would like to see in my industry: diversity, inclusion, and "as a woman ...... that questions about all things "are" directed to people who do not look like me. Don't ask me about inclusion riders, ask me what I intend to do about cis-hetero/male organizations.

7. memorable book Daring Greatly by Brenée Brown. I'm That Woman.

8. first album I bought: Jagged Little Pill; before that, I recorded from the radio... because I was young?

9. superhero power you want: mind reading or invisibility. I'm nosy.

10. theoretically superior: "forgiveness over permission" is great in theory, but please teach me more privileged language.

11. how to clear your mind after a bad day: music and HGTV.

12. when you last felt beautiful: this morning, I looked at myself in the mirror (peeling) and did a body roll.

13. advice to a heartbroken woman: if it doesn't hurt, it doesn't matter. Pain is a celebration of having given everything.

14. advice to your younger self on love: you are beautiful and worthy of love.
