Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's adjustment in LA will be mostly positive, according to royal experts.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (opens in new tab) are clearly facing a major adjustment after moving across the Atlantic from the United Kingdom to the United States. But according to one royal expert who has experienced the same move, the adjustments are almost all positive.

Speaking to Us Weekly (opens in new tab), Marissa Harmer of Ladies of London shared her own experience moving from London to Los Angeles and her predictions about how the move will affect Harry and Meghan's lives (opens in new Open in tab).

"Most of the adjustments are positive. Blue skies, the sun, the universe. All those wonderful things, wonderful places," Hamel explained.

"London is the most fascinating city in the world, but I think the lifestyle in Los Angeles is worth moving to. That's why [the family] moved."

Of course, not all moves are always easy. Harmer acknowledged the obvious: "It's hard to feel so far from home," but insisted that there are "plenty of ways to manage" such a feeling.

According to Harmer, the important thing for Harry and Megan (open in new tab) is to build a community of friends in their new home that is like a new family.

"In the same way, you can build a family of friends wherever you go. Anyone who moves internationally away from their family," she says. 'I think it's about building a small community wherever you go. My family is in Orange County, so that helps."

Solid advice.
