In a new Instagram video released Friday, Kate Middleton and Prince William spoke to volunteers (opens in new tab) across the UK to celebrate Volunteer Week. William then revealed that he is also volunteering a bit for Shout, a mental health crisis service that allows people in the UK to access support via text. 'I'm going to share a little secret with you guys,' he said. 'I'm actually volunteering [at Shout].'

Kate, William, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry launched Shout (opens in new tab) in May 2019 as part of the Heads Together Mental Health Campaign. Inspired by the U.S. Crisis Text Line (opens in new tab), the service allows people in need of mental health support to text trained volunteers at any time throughout the day.

In a statement (opens in new tab), the Cambridges and Sussexes said, "We are very excited to launch this service. For the past few months, Shout has been quietly working behind the scenes. We are all very excited to see this service in action up close and personal and look forward to its future."

"At the heart of this service is an incredible national volunteer community that needs to grow to be able to help more people in crisis," the statement continued. We hope that more of you will join us and become part of something very special."
