Queen participates in first "public zoom" and speaks with caregivers from across the U.K.

Three months after its closure, you are most likely fed up with the eponymous video calling application called Zoom. Queen Elizabeth, however, feels otherwise! The Queen and her daughter, Princess Anne, spoke to people supported by the Carers' Trust, a British charity of which Princess Anne is chair. The royal family heard from carers Alex, Amna, Nadia and Mary about the difficulties faced by people caring for friends, family and neighbors, and the support available.

"I have listened to your stories and accounts with great interest. I am very impressed with what you have already accomplished. I am so happy to be with you today."

Nadia Taylor, who is caring for her parents, husband, and daughter, told the Press Association (opens in new tab), "The Queen asked questions about how we all coped and called us special.

Meanwhile, Gareth Howells, chief executive of Carers Trust, told People (opens in new tab) that the queen had no trouble adjusting to Zoom. 'She was charming. 'The queen had done it a couple of times and was more comfortable, but the queen had no problem in front of the camera,' Howells said. 'A couple more times and she'll get used to it.'
