Prepare the sauce

Put a few tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan and a couple of cloves of garlic with the skin on. Add the halved cherry tomatoes. When the tomatoes are cooked, add the basil (fresh or dried), salt, and a few drops each of harissa and tomato paste. Continue stirring until the tomatoes are blanched.

Cook the pasta

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil, add the chickpea spaghetti and cook according to the instructions on the box. Add the drained noodles and pasta cooking water to the sauce and stir until the pasta is completely coated. Dish is ready to serve! [This article appeared in the Summer 2021 issue of Marie Claire.
