Prince Harry to publish "intimate and heartfelt" memoir.

Penguin Random House announced Monday that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, will publish a memoir (opens in new tab) of his life (opens in new tab) from childhood to the present in late 2022.

The memoir is being touted as the "definitive account" of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that helped shape the royal family. A press release about the book states, "Prince Harry will offer an honest and engaging portrait of an individual and show readers that behind everything they think they know, there is an inspiring, courageous, and uplifting human story."

The release teases that Harry will write intimately about his childhood (apparently including the impact the death of his mother, Princess Diana, had on him) and his recent experiences as a husband and father of two children. Although not explicitly stated, it is also expected that he will write about his decision to step down from senior royalty and his relationship with his family.

In a press release, Prince Harry explained I hope that telling my story will help to show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think, including the peaks and valleys, the mistakes we've made and the lessons we've learned."

He continued, " I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I have learned in my life."

"I am excited to have you read a first-hand account of my life that is accurate and completely true."

Prince Harry will reportedly donate the proceeds of the book and audiobook to charity.
