The streaming giant announced several reality show renewals on Monday and also revealed a new website that handles all reality show castings, for everyone telling all their friends that they might win "The Circle" (guilty as charged here).
The biggest news in this update is that the American version of "The Circle" will continue through seasons 4 and 5. The announcement comes three months after the Season 2 finale (open in new tab) (which saw the show's first catfish win); Netflix renewed Seasons 2 and 3 of the social media competition show shortly after the first season went viral, and this two-season renewal, shows that the streaming distributor knows it has a hit on its hands.
Two other shows renewed in this announcement (opens in new tab): "Indian Matchmaking" and "American Barbecue Showdown. Indian Matchmaking" (opens in new tab) first aired in July 2020, and follows matchmaker Sima Taparia as she searches for romantic matches for her clients, sparking much discussion about dating and marriage. American Barbecue Showdown went quiet last September, but critics and foodies loved the heartwarming cooking competition show.
Netflix also announced a brand new show called Roaring Twenties, which will begin filming soon. The first season follows eight 20-somethings in Austin, Texas, and the streamer describes the show as "a coming-of-age story about eight 20-somethings trying to find success in life and love in Austin, Texas, while learning to navigate the "new normal" of 2020s America." The show is a great way to get a feel for the city. It sounds like a fun new opportunity to watch people's dramatic lives from the comfort of your own couch.
And where is Netflix going to find the contestants for these new seasons? The biggest reality casting call ever will do just that, and Netflix's new casting site, NetflixReality.com (opens in new tab), is offering residents of the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. who are 18 years of age or older the opportunity to submit all upcoming reality show They are giving them a chance to submit casting videos for potential seasons.

Potential contestants can submit videos to multiple shows, and the list includes "Too Hot to Handle" (opens in new tab), "Nailed It!", "Queer Eye", "Floor is Lava," and "Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo" (open in new tab).
