Taraji P. Henson hints at upcoming music release

At the 2021 Emmy Awards ceremony, Elie Saab's see-through black dress (with pockets!) ), Taraji P. Henson dropped the microphone on the red carpet and suggested the possibility of releasing music in the future. *1]

It was more of a teaser than a slip of the tongue. On the red carpet, E! co-host Karamo Brown interviewed Henson about her role as Miss Hannigan in NBC's "Annie" live musical. (The TV special will air on December 2, 2021.) He asked, "Have you ever wanted to cut an album?" She asked, quite coquettishly, "You've been talking to someone."

"Stay tuned!" he replied.

This would not be the first time Henson has blessed us with her vocals. She made her singing debut in the 2005 film Hustle and Flow. The song, "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp" by the Three 6 Mafia, won the 2006 Academy Award for Best Original Song, and Henson and her musical group performed the song at that year's Academy Awards. But Henson's singing career began long before that: she actually paid for college by working as a singing and dancing waitress on a dinner cruise ship.

Tonight's half-truths may not be conclusive proof, but if Henson ever releases her own music (by all means!), we'll be listening. ), we will listen.
