Read MoreClear your schedule, date the couch, because after two years, "Love is Blind" is finally back, the hit Netflix dating show and "social experiment" that first aired in February 2020 and took the internet by storm. Now that the world has changed, we are very excited to see how it all works out with the new cast of The Bachelor.
In case you missed the frenzy of Season 1, Love is Blind brings together a group of marriage-ready singles to date strangers. Participants hang out for literally hours from comfortable pods and converse through opaque walls. If they hit it off, they can finally meet after their engagement. After meeting, couples have one month to decide whether to get married or go their separate ways. Last season it was Atlanta; this time it's Chicago. There the couple will meet each other's families and prepare for the big day. On the day of the wedding, it will be up to each contestant to decide whether to say "I do" there or walk away.
Season 2 of "Love is Blind" premiered on Netflix on February 11. The first five episodes were available along with the premiere, followed by four episodes on February 18 and the finale on February 25.
So! The trailer, released the day after the cast announcement, shows the singles finding love and dealing with life outside the pod, and it looks like neither a tropical vacation nor a return to real life will be an easy road. According to the short clip, the couples deal with opposing parents, religious differences, and each other's high expectations on their trip to the altar. There is also a glimpse of a runaway bride.
The 30 new singles are all based in Chicago, a change from Atlanta in the first season, and Netflix has released an official cast teaser video introducing the season two cast:
As noted in the teaser, the experiment in Love is Blind proved to work in Season 1. After six couples in the pod got engaged, some couples quickly burned out, while others made it to the altar. In the end, two couples, Lauren and Cameron and Amber and Burnett, got married and were still together as last year's "After the Altar" special.
And in case anyone was wondering, both couples are still together! Lauren (opens in new tab) and Amber (opens in new tab) shared a sweet third anniversary tribute on Instagram last November, and there are plenty of outgoing photos of the two enjoying their married life.
