Selling the Sunset" Season 5: Everything We Know

Let's be honest: Will Christine leave after the cliffhanger ending of Season 4 of "Sunset for Sale"? How will the staff at the Oppenheim Group react to Krischelle and Jason's romance? Thankfully, Season 5 of "Selling Sunset" will air soon. Here's everything from tidbits leaked by the cast to new cast members (...) Here's everything we know about the fifth season of "Selling Sunset," from cast tidbits to new cast members (...).

Yes, Netflix renewed this hugely popular docu-soap for multiple seasons when it announced seasons 4 and 5 last March. Krischelle Stause confirmed in an Instagram comment (opens in new tab) that production on season 5 has already wrapped (opens in new tab).

Filming two seasons at once seems to be a common practice for the show. Seasons 2 and 3 were also filmed simultaneously, allowing Netflix to drop one episode in May and the next in August.

"There won't be as long a wait between seasons 4 and 5 as there was between 3 and 4," Krischel said in an interview with ELLE. Mary, on the other hand, forewarned: "Season 5 will probably be released in March."

In mid-March, Netflix announced that season 5 would premiere on April 22. The official poster, released on Krishel's Instagram, shows how lively the Oppenheim group has become.

For those still wondering, yes, Christine Quinn is returning for season 5. As far as posters go, all of our favorite realtors are returning: Jason and Brett Oppenheim, Christine, Krischel, Mary, Heather Ray Young, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander, Davina Potratz, and Emma and Vanessa.

For a surprise addition, People (opens in new tab) confirmed that British/Nigerian luxury estate Chelsea Lazkani will join the cast this season. Lazkani received her real estate license in 2017 and previously worked for Los Angeles agency Rodeo Realty. After taking some time off to raise the two children she shares with husband Jeff Razkani, Chelsea is returning to real estate in hopes of opening doors for other minorities looking to enter the industry.

Looking at her Instagram, Chelsea blends in well with the other women in the Oppenheim group. Her feed is filled with some stunning travel photos, including her adorable toddlers Maddox and Melia.

Lucky for us, "Selling Sunset" included a surprise teaser for season 5 at the end of the season 4 finale. The clip, which begins with a stunning shot of Greece, is all about the office's reaction to the revelation that Krischel and Jason Oppenheim are dating. The couple went public in an Instagram post (opens in new tab) on the same group trip to Greece.

The teaser shows the cast gossiping in Oppenheim's office, a conversation between Chrishell and Mary Fitzgerald (who previously dated Jason), and Chrishell telling someone, "We're not criminals. We didn't do anything wrong." The clip ends with Krischel and Jason kissing at a group dinner.

Other storylines will likely continue the drama with Christine Quinn and newcomer Emma Hernan, as both Emma and Vanessa Villella will continue in the cast. (The wedding of Heather Ray Young and HGTV star Tarek El Moussa is also likely to be depicted, but not the wedding itself. Instead, according to "Entertainment Tonight" (opens in new tab), its own HGTV and Discovery+ specials will air.

If 10 new episodes aren't enough, this season's "Sunset" will have its first ever reunion show; Netflix told Entertainment Tonight (opens in new tab) that the reunion will be filmed on Sunday, April 24 (opens in new tab), and will be broadcast on the show's "Sunset" channel. to give the cast enough time to watch this season) and will be hosted by Queer Eye's Tan France. This will be the second time Queer Eye has appeared on Sunset, after Christine showed her house to Karamo Brown in Season 3.

The streamer has not yet announced a premiere date, but will include Krischelle, Christine, Mary, Heather, Amanza, Maya, Davina, Emma, and Vanessa, as well as Jason and Britt and newcomer Chelsea.

In late 2021, Fitzgerald appeared on the talk show "Lorraine" and said: "We're done shooting. There are a few pickups when I get back, and I still have some interviews to do. But for the most part, we're done filming season 5, and it's going to be very, very good."

She also hinted at the level of drama in the new season. "Season 4 is very ...... A lot of things happened, and I think it was shocking, wonderful, and dramatic.

Jason Oppenheim told Us Weekly that he and Krischel fell in love after becoming close friends. He also teased the cast's reaction, saying, "Overall, everyone was really supportive."

"[Krischel and I] are pretty open and pretty honest about our relationship and where we are and what we talk about," he told the magazine.

"It's easy to be open and honest when we're together, whether it's in front of the camera or off camera.

Krishel told ELLE of their relationship: "We've become best friends and I think whatever happens in the future, whether it coincides or not, that friendship will last forever. Once I realized that my love and respect for the other person was unwavering, I was able to live my life with people in real time without the fear that "if everything doesn't go perfectly, it could be disastrous." Because as we get older, these are real things that we deal with."

Christine Quinn also directly addressed her place on the show last month on social media (opens in new tab) after fans speculated that she had left the cast because she was not included in a group photo.
