Manifesto" Season 4: Everything We Know

It's official: The Manifest is getting a fourth season on Netflix. Season 4 was announced on August 28, 2021, at 8:28 a.m., a reference to Flight 828, which plays an important role in the series. As such, fans are hoping that Season 4 will be released on August 28, 2022, although Deadline notes that the "Manifest" Season 4 release date is "this fall." Nearly the entire cast, including stars Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh, will return for the show's final chapter (or two).

The August 2021 renewal of "Manifesto" marks a surprising turnaround by Netflix, which initially declined to renew the series, as did the show's creator, NBC, but "Manifesto" (open in new tab) has been added to Netflix and has set a US streaming record, forcing both to reconsider.

"There's something very meta about the death and rebirth of a show, given that it's the story of the series itself," creator Jeff Lake said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly (opens in new tab). He is referring to the show's title, "Manifest," which refers to the characters, all of whom were presumed dead for years before their plane landed in New York City. The show follows Dallas and Roxburgh's siblings as they try to figure out exactly what happened to them.

Netflix's decision to renew "Manifest" came two months after the streamer picked up the first and second seasons of the NBC show; according to the Hollywood Reporter, 25 million Netflix accounts in the United States and Canada watched the show in its first month. Even after "Manifesto" fell from the #1 spot, the show continued to dominate the Netflix charts: in August 2021, Nielson confirmed that "Manifesto" was viewed more than 1 billion times per week for six consecutive weeks, setting a streaming ratings record. And in September, "Manifesto" became the third film in Netflix history to reach the top 10 for 100 days.

Season 4 of "Manifesto" is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2022, but some fans speculate that it will be released on August 28, 2022, after Flight 828 and one year after the show was "saved. "Deadline reported in early June that the release date "this fall" reported that it would be.

Creator Rake needs to cram three seasons' worth of plot into 20 episodes; in an interview with EW, he said: "The endgame won't change at all; 20 episodes will give me enough time to tell the full story, as I always intended. I have absolute confidence that 20 episodes will be enough time to tell the whole story as I always intended."

Here is Deadline's official description of the Netflix season: "When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. But in those few hours, the world had aged five years, and their friends, family, and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on. And now, in the face of the impossible, all of them were given a second chance. But as their new reality unfolds, a deeper mystery unfolds, and some of the returning passengers soon realize that they may be destined for something greater than they ever imagined in their emotional and unexpected journey into a world of hope, heart, and destiny.

So there is little that fans do not already know. However, Josh Dallas, who plays Ben, revealed in an interview with Netflix Life that there is a two-year time jump. 'The next season starts two years after where season three ended. Dallas said. 'He could be the agent of the apocalypse and everything could be ruined because of his tenacity. " He also wrote about Ben on Twitter: 'Honestly ...... He's not in good shape," he wrote, and tweeted a photo of the funeral scene with the caption: 'Brace yourself. Amazing considering what happened to Ben at the end of season 3.

SpoilerTV and Netflix Life shared "leaked" episode titles ("High Flight," "Final Descent," "Full Upright and Locked Position," "Fata Morgana", etc.) were shared.

According to Deadline's Nelly Andreeva, the cast is no longer contractually bound to the show after June 2021. Thankfully, most of the cast signed on in September after the renewal, except for a character who died at the end of Season 3 and a character who unexpectedly aged (no spoilers). Also promoted to series regular was Darryl Edwards as Vance.

Meanwhile, that character, who has unexpectedly aged, has been replaced by an older actor who last appeared in season 3. The two actors who are not returning are a shame, as they were pivotal to the first three seasons of Manifesto and its success to date, and according to Andrieva, the rest of the cast will receive "significant raises" in the fourth season. The budget for each episode of the final season has also been increased considerably, from $1 million to $4 million and $5 million, according to What's On Netflix.

According to What's on Netflix, several new characters will appear in the fourth season, but they are minor characters: Kyle Boyd, who was a passenger on Flight 828; Henry Kim, who was also a passenger on Flight 828 and was described in detail in Singapore upon his return; and Terra and Two characters, June, appear in the film. In addition, there will be two smaller characters, Captain Kevin Fahey and Detective Price. According to a tweet shared by the Renewal Manifesto account, the "Eden twins" will also appear in season 4, but little is known about their roles.

And "Once Upon a Time" star Ginnifer Goodwin, who is married to Josh Dallas in real life, may also appear. Goodwin posted a cryptic selfie from a "plane" labeled Montego Airways, with the caption:"@joshdallas will take me on a trip someday."

Here's a first-look sneak peek of Manifest Season 4:

As for the full-length trailer. According to Lake, it's getting closer; in June, he tweeted: "How about that trailer, Manifesters' finally snagging it. Good luck."
