Princess Diana once went head-to-head with Camilla Parker-Bowles at a party
[It is the scene where Princess Diana and Prince Charles' mistress Camilla Parker-Bowles (now the wife of Prince Charles of 17 years and the future Princess of Wales) go head-to-head at a party. This is according to the testimony of Princess Diana's former guardian Ken Whorf, who, according to the Mirror, details what happened after Prince Charles and Camilla slipped out together at the party.
Wolff, who worked as part of Diana's security team for six years, told ITV that the Prince and Princess attended a party thrown by Camilla's sister and was naturally there herself. Wolff said that she and others were surprised that Diana went to that party, given that it was filled with people close to Prince Charles and Camilla.
"Diana didn't have any special friendships at that party, but when we got there, it was like freeze-framing a scene from a movie, because it was a surprise that Diana had even arrived," Wolff said. But then, not long after that, less than an hour later, I heard my name being called. I was somewhere in the kitchen. I went outside and Diana was there and said, 'Come with me. I can't find my husband or Camilla.'
Wolff said he could not refuse the princess because "obviously this woman was in some distress.
"Eventually, the prince and Camilla found themselves sitting on a couch in the basement of this estate, just talking." [The most famous woman in the world is confronted face to face with her husband and a woman who knows that he is having an affair.
"I didn't quite know what Diana was going to do at that point, but Diana confidently approached them and said to Camilla, 'I'm not going to let you go. I know what is going on.'"
Camilla's stunned reaction was a bit gushing, Wolff says.
"And Camilla said something like, and I've never really understood what she meant, to this day, but she said something like, 'You know what, you have two wonderful boys. ' It was an incredible moment for me and for both of us. Because at that point... Because it was an indicator that the end was near."
Charles and Diana eventually separated in 1992 and divorced on August 28, 1996, just 368 days before Diana was killed in a car accident in Paris on August 31, 1997. Wolff's new book, Diana: Remembering the Princess, was published on the 25th anniversary of Diana's death.
