Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, and Amy Poehler Reunite to See "Mean Girls" Musical
It feels so good to be reunited On Sunday, January 14, Amy Poehler posted a video on her TikTok account showing her going to the movies with former "Saturday Night Live" cast members Tina Fey and Maya Rudolph.
The best friends were about to go see Fey's musical adaptation of her 2004 classic "Mean Girls."
In the video, the best friends smile and wave at the camera as they walk up an escalator to a theater in what appears to be a shopping mall and before posing in front of several Mean Girls posters. Poehler captioned the video: #meangirlsweekend
The three have been friends for more than 20 years and have worked together on films, including the 2019 film Wine Country and the 2015 film Sisters. Earlier this month, Fey told Sunday TODAY's Willie Geist that she and Poehler often travel down memory lane and watch past SNL episodes when they are traveling for the "Tina Fey & Amy Poehler: Restless Legs Tour." 'We love to watch them together. If we're not together, I'll live text you while we're there. Like someone who used to play sports, I'd be like, 'Oh, I see. [Rehearsal] went faster than the dress [rehearsal]."
"We've been working on the dress,"

During an appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," Poehler commented on her decades-long friendship with Faye and Rudolph, adding that it was Faye who taught her how to pluck her eyebrows in her 20s. Said Poehler, "Tina and Maya have been baking together for almost 25 years now." 'Tina and I met in Chicago in the '90s, but the '90s were a different time. "In a 2022 interview with People, Rudolph and Poehler recalled that the trio of friends also met and bonded on the set of "Saturday Night Live" in 2011. Rudolph told the magazine at the time, "Amy came in and it was like the Pink Ladies in Grease going to school scene." She was a beloved comic, and all the writers were like, "Amy, tell us everything!" It was like that."
"I was like, 'Maya's from SNL. Maya can do everything you need to do on this show better than anyone else,'" Poehler added. I still agree with that statement."
