Beatrice Grano makes her first Emmy red carpet appearance in Armani Privé couture.
It's been more than a year since Season 2 of White Lotus aired, and we're still reeling from the drama of its journey to a fictional resort chain, and HBO's series has earned a whopping 23 nominations for the 2024 Emmy Awards. An all-star cast brought their A-game to Sicily, Italy, spearheaded by an incredibly talented group of Italian actors. One such actor was up-and-coming Italian actor Beatrice Grano, who made her Emmy debut tonight.
Of course, the first question that comes to mind is, "How do you choose such a memorable red carpet look?" In Grano's case, he had an idea of what he wanted to exude with his Emmy look. I wanted to portray an image of elegance," the actress told Marie Claire exclusively. I needed to feel light for such a prestigious red carpet walk. The dress is adorned with two red roses, which speaks to the moment of bloom. Granno's look is from the prestigious Italian fashion brand Armani: Armani.
Granno described working with the Armani team to find the perfect look on Emmy night as "something special." She said, "The dress I'm wearing is haute couture by Armani Privé. She continues, "I chose this dress with my stylist Valeria Marchetti, under the supervision of Giorgio Armani." This décolleté dress, as stylist Marchetti explained, is made of black crystal and red patent leather with black velvet ribbon embroidery. The Armani Privé look is from the Fall/Winter 23/24 collection.
Marchetti helped bring Granno's vision of grace to life by working with the Armani team. Marchetti explains, "We were supervised by the Armani Privé Style Office and Mr. Armani to select dresses that expressed Beatrice's grace and contemporary elegance." We deeply believe that Armani's vision is the perfect fit to express this concept," she added.
When asked to describe her dress in three words, Granno simply replied, "I would say it's the best dress I've ever seen. We definitely agree with that.
Granno's tousled bob was styled by Lena Calhoun, with dark eyeliner and cherry red lips by Carolina Gonzalez.
Watching the series, it is hard not to fall in love with Grano's character, Mia. Mia is an aspiring singer and a local from Taormina, Italy. She and her friend Lucia (played by Simona Tabasco) are caught up in the chaos of the resort's privileged guests throughout the season. Sure, Mia's judgment was shaky at times, but her charm and passion for finding her big break won us over, and by the end of the season she really blossomed into her own person. When she sang Dean Martin's "That's Amore," I burst into tears. Tears were shed!
As for whether she could envision her character Mia wearing the look, Granno said, "She would love it, but I would never trust her to wear this dress. Mia is a pain in the ass," says Grano. Same thing. This may be Grano's first Emmy, but we can guarantee that we will see the Italian actor on many more carpets in the future. For now, Caio!
