The 2024 Emmy Awards, known as the biggest night in television, took place and there was no shortage of stunning looks on the red carpet. From Selena Gomez in a custom-made Oscar de la Renta to Ayo Edebiri in a custom-made Louis Vuitton, the stars did not disappoint. But among the red carpet looks, there is one look that has etched itself into my brain as peak pregnancy dressing.

Waterhouse, who announced in November that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Robert Pattinson, hit the red carpet not only to celebrate her nominated Daisy Jones & The Six co-star, but also to proudly show off her baby bump. The look featured trendy bow detailing, a dropped waist, and cutouts that showed off her growing belly. On the beauty front, she kept it relatively simple with perfectly tousled waves (reminiscent of her rock star character, dare I say it?) and a simple cat eye. With a look like this, Rihanna, the reigning queen of maternity style, would have been sniffing around.

In case you were wondering, this is not the first time Waterhouse has thrown traditional maternity style out the window. First, she recently endorsed the comeback of chunky sneakers during a casual daytime stroll in London in December. Then, Waterhouse chose a trompe l'oeil gown by Di Pezza to attend a baby shower. The stunning gown had mesh "wet-looking" panels that clung to her bump, giving her a "soaking wet" look and truly establishing her as a maternity style star. We eagerly await Waterhouse's next cool maternity look.
