Selena Gomez and new boyfriend Benny Blanco finally made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Emmy Awards on Monday. Even though Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were in attendance at the Golden Globes (and apparently secretly making out in the surprise closet), this was the first time the two walked together.

Or was it?

There was a bit of a stir at their red carpet debut, as Blanco was escorted off the red carpet by security.

The incident was captured in a video posted by E! Entertainment on Instagram.

Blanco was seen entering with Gomez, who was wearing a stunning Oscar de la Renta dress and a dark blue trench coat and gray ensemble. He then stands beside her as she gets ready and says something to her while kissing her.

But then Blanco appears to react to what is said off camera, and the next time the camera pans to him, he appears to be escorted out of the scene by a security guard. Blanco, however, does not appear to be offended by this and willingly walks away.

Another shot shows the lovebirds talking to actress Aubrey Plaza in the same area.

He was not completely removed from the event, as Gomez and Blanco are later seen entering the venue and taking a seat together.

What actually happened here?

There is no audio of the video, so we are left to speculate until someone clarifies this issue. Gomez has stayed away from social media, so it may be a while before this mystery is solved.
