Saweetie's "Lumie Chrome" manicure supercharges pinwheel shapes
Social media used to be a place to connect with friends and family, but these days my basic purpose is to stay up-to-date on the latest celebrity manicure news, and every time Meghan Thee Stallion or one of the dizzying number of nail artists I follow on Instagram posts a new My heart skips a beat whenever Meghan Thee Stallion or one of the myriad of other nail artists I follow on Instagram posts a new one. The same goes for Saweetie, whose recent manicure was worth scrolling past.
On Tuesday, January 16, the 30-year-old took to Instagram to share a snapshot of her new manicure. Painted in a fantastic pale pink chrome, the nails are stiletto-shaped and at least two inches long.
"Roomy chrome tips, double R whip," she captioned the post, referring to her nails and the Rolls Royce key (with Sailor Moon key chain) she holds in her manicured hand. The next photo shows her silver winged eyeliner shining in the dim light in what can only be the same car.
Unsurprisingly, Saweetie's latest manicure is the work of her regular nail artist, Temeka Jackson. The luxe manicurist, who has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, shared insight into the look in her Instagram post, saying that the iridescent color is the work of The Gel Bottle Ink "Blanc" and Liya's Nails "Unicorn" gel polish, with Social Close "Lumi Chrome" pigment topping (hence the rapper's caption).
"ITS A NAILFIE FROM THE BADDIE BOSS [Saweetie] WITH A SIDE OF RICHTIVITIES," Jackson captioned her post." Ladies, this is how you take a Nailfie from a car."
Manicure enthusiasts, take note! My scrolling habit is on you.
