Colorful Cowboys and Celebrities: Pharrell William's Latest Creation for Louis Vuitton Men

Pharrell Williams has been at Louis Vuitton for less than a year, but so far he has brought a continuous spectacle to the French fashion house's menswear. After the luxury brand's Louis Vuitton pre-fall destination show in Hong Kong a month earlier, Williams traveled to Paris on Tuesday to present his second collection. The musician and creative director continued the streetwear-inspired vision he showed in his debut collection in June, this time with a lively collection centered on Americana in general. French fashion house Louis Vuitton's Fall/Winter 2024 men's collection was, as expected, a celebrity hit.

More than 1,300 guests at the Foundation Louis Vuitton seemed to be transported from the outskirts of the city back to the Wild West. This season's awards schedule did not stop the industry's A-list from flocking to the French capital: Bradley Cooper, Carey Mulligan, Venus Williams, Karlie Kloss, and so many more. Rivaling the awards ceremony, Louis Vuitton rolled out the red carpet with several A-listers wearing Williams' debut line. (The true "stars" of the red carpet were the rainbow-colored Speedy bags from the previous collection.)

Attendees aside, let's move on to the clothes. This season, Williams reimagined rodeo as something more inclusive. He drew inspiration from his home state of Virginia, drawing inspiration from black cowboys, as well as incorporating indigenous Dakota and Lakota culture into the mix.

The backdrop reflected the dusty and eventually snow-covered plains of Virginia, while models strutted through the auditorium in Williams' LV version of the American cowboy. The collection was a bit of a mixed bag: colorful pieces embroidered with patchwork and sequin motifs, and leather jackets emblazoned with the Maison's monogram and original paintings printed as if eroded by the prairie sun.

The collection also featured embossed horse saddles, decked-out chaps, and garments that mimicked LV's coveted Timberland boots. Floral motifs, turquoise blue jewel buttons, and other Dakota and Lakota touches were also woven into the collection. And to complete the western uniform, each look did not let go of the new Speedy bag, the towering leather cowboy hat, and the embellished bolo tie.

Then, take a look at some of the looks that caught the attention of the Louis Vuitton Men's Fall/Winter 2024 collection, as well as other celebrity appearances.
