Nick Carter Releases New Video One Week After Sister's Death
A week after Angel Carter paid tribute to Bobby Jean Carter, who passed away on December 23, another Carter sibling has returned to social media. Nick Carter has not posted about his sister's death, but many fans have offered their condolences in a December 22 Instagram post.
Now Carter has shared a new family video showing his son, 7-year-old Odin, playing golf. The Backstreet Boys member captioned the video, "Cherish this moment."
While some fans wondered why Carter hasn't posted anything about his sister's death, others defended his right to grieve in private rather than share everything on social media." How he is coping is none of our business and should not be a topic of conversation. If and when Nick feels like it, he might mention it," one fan wrote.
Of course, just because Carter enjoys these family times does not mean he does not feel the loss of his sister. Grief is different for everyone, and it is not as simple as grieving for a certain amount of time or refraining from posting happy memories.
In a statement to TMZ about Bobby Jean's death, family head Jane Carter asked to "grieve privately." And as a fan pointed out in Nick's Instagram post, he deserves the same courtesy.
Sadly, the Carter family is no stranger to grief. Pop star Aaron Carter died in November 2022, and in January 2023 Nick released a tribute song to his brother, "Hurts to Love You." Nick also shared a childhood photo of him and Aaron on Instagram the day after Aaron's death, saying, "Sometimes it's tempting to blame someone or something for the loss, but really addiction and mental illness are the real villains here. I will miss my brother more than anyone else."
He added, "I'll miss him more than I'll miss anyone else.
