Jordan Peele Says Top Secret Fourth Film May Be His "Favorite" Project Ever

Attention all moviegoers, new Jordan Peele news has arrived. Ever since the former Key & Peele star released his Oscar-winning horror satire "Get Out" (and started a new trend in the genre), Peele's films have been instantly added to moviegoers' watch lists. Fans are eagerly awaiting his follow-up to 2022's "Nope," and according to the filmmaker himself, his fourth project may be his best work to date.

Peele recently appeared on the podcast "Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend," where host O'Brien asked us all about his next film. The film was to be announced in March 2023 and released on Christmas Day 2024. The Hollywood strike last summer delayed the film's progress, but Peele assured us that he has high hopes for his new project.

"Obviously, it's been an interesting year because the screenwriters' strike has kept me in a state of earshot," he said. I feel like I have a pretty clear idea of what my next project is going to be, and I'm excited to have another film that, if done well, could become one of my favorite films."

Due to delays, "Untitled Fourth Jordan Peele Movie," along with another film from Peele's production studio, Monkeypaw, has been pushed back from the 2024 release window. Filming on Peele's next film is scheduled to begin later this year, but there is no news on casting yet. (Peele is known to be quite secretive about his films, and audiences had no idea what to expect from "Get Out," "Us," and "Nope" until the first trailers were released.)

All we know now is that the film is very likely to be another thriller or horror film that holds up an uncomfortable mirror to certain aspects of living in the 21st century. Peele had previously teased that he was planning four "social thrillers" after "Get Out," but in an interview with the Associated Press in 2022, Peele admitted that he had no intention of switching to a new genre anytime soon.

"I feel like I'm off the race," he said. 'I just don't know if I can limit how many films I can have that are my own. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't done these films. So I guess you could say this project has been extended."
