Kendall Jenner kicks off 2024 in a sheer white dress by Helsa
For many of us, a new year means a whole new "me." While most people compiled a list of fashion trends that they expected to be "in", Kendall Jenner stuck with a style that many judged to be "out of style": the sheer trend. We've seen plenty of see-through outfits on supermodels in the past, and 2024 is no exception; just a few days into January, Jenner is already (almost) baring it all.
The 818 Tequila founder ditched her ultra-boogie après-ski look, donned a Phoebe Philo fur coat, and went on vacation to Barbados with her best friend Hailey Bieber. On Wednesday, the 28-year-old uploaded her first Instagram of the new year. Kardashian family star Jenner's revealing maxi dress is from supermodel Elsa Hosk's apparel brand, Helsa, and features lettuce trim ruffles on the sleeves and hem, plus diamond-shaped abdominal reveal cutouts, a sexy shirred waistline, and a 2010s style dramatic high-low skirts. Jenner kept beachside glamour to a minimum, ditching the heels and instead accessorizing with Bottega Veneta green glass teardrop earrings, a messy updo, and a glass of chilled white wine in hand (of course!) ...
"The years are passing, and they seem to be moving faster and faster. Existence and time is all I can ask for," she captioned an Instagram post.
"Grateful for the past, optimistic for what's to come, don't waste a second, 2024, shower me with love and laughter, gratitude and growth, patience and presence."Jenner's cryptic Instagram post likely refers to her ex-boyfriend, Bud Bunny. That's because they are rumored to have reunited on the island after her friend Lenell Medrano shared a now-expired Instagram story in which the Puerto Rican musician says "Happy New Year" to everyone on the trip.
Whether the two are actually back together or simply celebrating "nuevo año" as platonic friends, one thing is for sure: Jenner is embracing what appears to be barely there with open arms for the year 2024, and we're all writing down notes We are. After all, we've seen the mesh crystal-studded La Perla gown at the 2017 Met Gala, the Audrey Hepburn-inspired naked dress from "My Fair Lady" at the 2021 Met Gala, and Chanel's 2023 Met Gala after-party at the No one is better suited for costume inspiration than a supermodel in a Nenshi Dojaka, a nearly exact replica of the transparent bodysuit she introduced in 1994.
Whether it be for an elaborate celebration or simply a late-night outing, Jenner's nearly nude mermaid look can easily be replicated. Her exact hersa dress is currently out of stock, but there are still plenty of similar designer options on the market; grab a sheer dress before the trend sweeps even further in 2024.
