America Ferrera, from her iconic role in 2002's Gotta Kick It Up! has been on my list of favorite actresses for years, from her iconic role in "Gotta Kick It Up!" to her most recent role in "Barbie" in 2023. Not only is Ferrera incredibly talented, but she is also an outspoken advocate of feminism and has inspired girls all over the world, especially Latinas like myself who were energized by the mantra "si se puede" throughout my childhood.

Another role Ferrera occupies is that of a "beauty icon." The actress has sported numerous looks throughout her time in the spotlight, from favoring slicked-back hair to reviving the side part. And last night at the 35th Annual Palm Springs International Film Awards, she showed off a sleek, chin-length bob hairdo that I am absolutely smitten with, styled by celebrity hairstylist and TV personality Larry Sims.
