Awards season is upon us again this year. To kick things off, the stereotypical Barbie, namely Margot Robbie, attended the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Awards in an adorable pink mini-dress with black polka dots and three-dimensional flowers. Her dress, a silhouette from Balmain's Spring/Summer 2024 collection, was girly and playful, yet sophisticated due to its long sleeves and high quality construction. With her pink polka dot and rosette dress, Robbie added Balmain Barbie to the film canon!

The sleeves of Robbie's Balmain dress hit the A-lister's wrists, and the neckline was slightly plunged to reveal skin. With the floral appliqué, Robbie further proved that floral patterns can actually feel groundbreaking, even in cold weather. Needless to say, everyone from Selena Gomez to Natalie Portman wore floral rosettes, showing that this garden-fresh look won't be leaving our social media feeds or the red carpet anytime soon.

As for accessories, Robbie wore minimal jewelry except for a silver ring, while her peep-toe kitten heels perfectly matched the polka dots on her dress. Robbie's blonde hair framed her face perfectly in her signature Australian beach waves. Her makeup was a neutral, pinkish palette, which of course matched her dress. Her lips were a neutral matte pink, which complemented her entire Barbie Balmain ensemble.

Even months after the release of the hit movie, there seems to be no end in sight to Robbie's cosplaying of Mattel's leading man. And we certainly aren't complaining. During the film's press tour, the actress and producer dressed in all manner of Barbie cosplay, including Vivienne Westwood, Prada, Versace, Herve Leger, Valentino, Chanel, and custom-made Schiaparelli Haute Couture.

And with this Sunday's Golden Globes just around the corner, it is clear that Robbie plans to reprise her role as Barbie on the campaign trail. The actress is nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Film for her role in Barbie. If this award were to be decided by the top class fashion of the nominees on the red carpet, Robbie would definitely sweep. Unfortunately, entertainment journalists have other factors to consider when casting their votes. But Balmain Barbie, you certainly left an impression on us.
