We start with Eva Longoria's lace "Naked Dress" she wore to the Palm Springs International Film Awards. Dressed by longtime stylist Maeve Riley, Longoria wore an ivory Ashi Studio Fall/Winter 2023 couture dress. The sheer lace created the effect of Longoria being enveloped in a chic spider web, perfectly encasing the actress' curves for a moment of gothic romance.

The sleeveless string Asi Studios gown featured a halter turtleneck and a mermaid-style tail that spread slightly where it hit the carpet. Underneath the lace gown, Longoria wore a nude-colored bodysuit that perfectly matched the actress and director's skin, effectively creating a near-nude illusion. Longoria, an actress, shared snaps from the event on her Instagram Story, showing off a sheer dress that seemed to add a whole new take on the age-old naked dress trend.

Longoria paired a dark, glittery smokey eye with a neutral matte lip. It's an easy DIY hairstyle for any event, red carpet or not. Longoria took to Instagram to share how much she loved the high ponytail, giving a shout out to her Glam team, writing, "As the kids say, 'snatched.'"

Naked dresses became popular in 1993 when Kate Moss wore a see-through Liza Bruce slip dress with a lit cigarette in hand. Now the look has been recreated by numerous celebrities who pay homage to Moss, from her own daughter, Laila Moss, to supermodel Kendall Jenner.

Naked dresses reigned supreme during 2023, especially at A-lister after-hours events. Emily Rutkowski's slinky dress at Vanity Fair's Oscar party and Gigi Hadid's black slip dress at the Met Gala after-party were especially lauded. According to Longoria, it is clear that the trend for racy naked dresses will be widespread on the 2024 circuit.
