Princess Kate turns 42 on Tuesday.
After a sometimes tumultuous 41 years, the Princess of Wales turns 42 on Tuesday, and it looks like she will be "spoiled" by her husband Prince William. Remember, drama ensued with the release of Prince Harry's "Spare" just one day after Kate's birthday last year.
But this weekend is a celebration, not a commotion, royal expert Jenny Bond told the Daily Express. William will spoil [Kate] rotten this year. 'Kate told Mary Berry he was good at breakfast. It's the last day of Christmas break before the kids go back to school, so he'll probably spend quality time with them, but there will probably be a candlelight champagne dinner planned."
Perhaps William should consider getting help with what gifts to give his wife. He has admitted himself that he has had trouble giving Kate gifts in the past. Speaking on the BBC's "That Peter Crouch Podcast," he said. 'She never let me forget that. It was early in our courtship. That's when she fell in love with me. She fell in love with me at that point."
Clearly playing the sarcasm card heavily, William said, "I think I convinced myself that I was in love with her. This is really great! How far can you see? She said, 'Binoculars. What's going on?' He concluded. Honestly, I have no idea why I bought her those binoculars."
[8Kate's 42nd birthday will reportedly be "low-key," but there may be a gift she'll appreciate. A little promotion within the stratosphere of British chivalry, if you will, and a big honor that may be bestowed by her father-in-law, King Charles.
According to the Daily Express, Prince Charles, who is close to Kate, may give her the title of Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter this year. The Daily Express reports that "the new appointment would cement her seniority in the royal family and would be personally chosen by the monarch."
Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, and her husband William are already members.
"Princess Kate, who has been an official member of the royal family for more than a decade, is reported to feel ready to receive the new honor," the Daily Express wrote.
This weekend, Kate and her family (William and their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis) will likely celebrate her birthday quietly in Windsor. They plan to spend her birthday "just with family," they added, and this is "the way she likes it."
