This year's awards season officially kicked off with the 2024 Golden Globe Awards. One of the first stars to hit the carpet was Issa Rae, and she set high expectations for the evening's style.

The actor, producer, entrepreneur, and MC November 2023 cover star hit the carpet in a bedazzled long-sleeve gown by Pamela Rowland that sparkled in shades of gold. While many celebrities opted for metallic silver, white, and red, this sparkling color was unique on this year's red carpet.

To match her look, Rae's makeup artist Joanna Simkin created a matching gold glow. Luckily, she revealed the exact products she used on her Instagram Stories. Simkin used Charlotte Tilbury's Eyes to Mesmerize Cream eyeshadow in the shades "Chocolate Bronze" and "Star Gold" and the brand's luxury eyeshadow palette "Bella Sofia" on Rae's eyes, creating a soft The soft bronze eyes were created using the brand's luxurious Bella Sofia eyeshadow palette. To create Rae's "perfect naked nude combo," Simkin topped Charlotte Tilbury's "Jesus Honey" lipstick with "Refresh Rose" lip bath.

Rae was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2023 for her roles in "American Fiction," "Barbie," and "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse." Not only that, but Rae debuted her latest project, a new line for Prosecco called Viarae. Judging by Rae's award-winning look, 2024 is sure to be an equally important year.
