Meryl Streep services Miranda Priestly on the Golden Globe red carpet.
"Is that...?"
"Meryl Streep's Valentino on the red carpet at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards." Yes.
Look, we never have an opportunity to not talk about Meryl Streep's most iconic role, Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada. We are just a cog in the millennial machine, and few things are more important to a particular generation than this woman and this role.
Streep, along with talent agent Kevin Hueben, conceived the all-black sequined look she will wear when she wins Best Supporting Female Actor in Television for this season's "Only Murder in the Building."
And while we loved her on the show, we can't help but think about this image...
"Why isn't anyone reading this?" And. If you want to see more of Meryl Streep playing Miranda Priestly. Really, the only thing that makes it clear that this is not a red carpet costume is the ponytail (which everyone knows Miranda would never do).
Anyway, we just... Meryl. Listen. I know, I know! It's just that we keep nagging you to make a sequel, and it's annoying to us. Miranda Priestly Gets Her Groove Back. What do you think?
I mean, the film writes itself. The audience is right there, Hollywood! Besides, we all love existing intellectual property, don't we? We want more Miranda.
