Redheads were trending at this year's Golden Globe Awards.
Each year, millions of film and television lovers tune in to the Golden Globe Awards. As the kickoff to awards season, the Globes provide viewers with the films and shows that will win the most accolades and those that will be on the short list. Like any awards show or gala, the Golden Globes also gives celebrities the opportunity to show off on the red carpet. They will wear designer dresses, bold makeup, and show off brand new hairstyles and hair colors. And this year, several creatives showed up with bright red hair.
Singers like Billie Eilish, who wrote the music for Greta Gerwig's "Barbie," and Dua Lipa have long dyed their dark hair a deep scarlet. Meanwhile, actors like Natasha Lyonne and Hari Nef, like Lisa Ann Walter in Abbott Elementary, have chosen lighter shades on the red-orange spectrum. Emma Stone, of course, stuck with her signature red-orange hair (she's actually a natural blonde!). . [), dominating product launches for brands like Gucci and Dior, and taking center stage on the makeup mood boards of celebrities like Tracee Ellis Ross and Selena Gomez. Megan Fox also recently dyed her hair cherry red in December, about a month ahead of the trend.
This new trend is a refreshing change of pace at a time when celebrities seem to be dying their hair blonde one after another and wearing balayage and highlights for the summer. For more redhead inspiration, check out how other celebrities have worn this bold shade in the past, including Emily Ratakowski and Kendall Jenner.
