Jacob Elordi to transform into Frankenstein's monster in Netflix's Guillermo del Toro film

Jacob Elordi joins Netflix's most anticipated film following his high-profile roles in 2023's Priscilla and Salt Burn Netflix has announced that Jacob Elordi will star in the Guillermo del Toro-directed Frankenstein feature film, which is set to be released on Netflix in the fall. With Elordi teaming up with the esteemed horror director (and big-time Twitter user), there is no doubt that the 6'5" Elordi will give a phenomenal performance.

The horror film was first announced last year, and Deadline reported in March 2023 that Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, and Andrew Garfield were in talks to join the project. The magazine confirmed on Sunday that Elordi will replace Garfield after the "Amazing Spider-Man" actor dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Alongside Elordi, Isaacs will play scientist Victor Frankenstein, while scream queen Mia Goth will play the Creator's love interest.

Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds) will also play an unannounced role, while Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, and Christian Convery round out the cast.

Elodie won accolades in late 2023 for his performances in "Saltburn" and "Priscilla," and in a December 2023 interview with Vanity Fair he discussed his next career move, "I'm going to be a very good actor."

"I think it's always changing. 'The lucky thing about me right now is that I get to pick and choose a little bit. I want to work with artists. I've always loved art, and I want to work with filmmakers who have some particular point of view or feeling and want to leave their mark on the world and on history. That's what film is to me."
