Taylor Swift's Long Manicure May Have Surpassed Her Golden Globes Gown
Did you know that when Taylor Swift sang "I can still make the whole place shimmer" in her song "Bejeweled" she was talking about her future Golden Globe 2024 glamour? The same goes for the line "I polish up real nice," a casual reference to her choice of nail lacquer. If you don't believe me, that's fine. But remember, anything (and everything) can be an Easter egg. Especially nail polish.
"[Taylor] loves glitter, and this was a custom silver halo look over nude almond nails!" Swift's nail artist, Lisa Peña Wong, tells Marie Claire about her long, sparkling manicure at Sunday's awards ceremony. The 34-year-old's nails, a combination of silver and diamond jewelry, were indeed longer than her typical short style, sheer but with a strong shine.
In the comments of her Instagram post from that night, the pro noted that Swift typically gets manicures on her own hands on tour, but that she has been "lucky to work with her for the past three years."
Taylor Swift's Support at the Globes: She walked the red carpet in a green sequined gown by Gucci as she appeared at the Globes in support of her film "The Eras Tour," which was nominated for Best Motion Picture and Best Box Office Performance. As soon as she stepped in front of the camera, theories about the significance of the dress began to fly around the Internet. The biggest theory, according to Swifties, is that it looks a bit like a snake, a symbol of Swift's "Reputation" album. But the biggest ray of hope for the new era of Taylor versions may be, yes, that manicure.
"Guys, she's doing her nails. Like the tips! She's never had her nails done. She's never had her nails done. She's never had her nails done!" Swift tictalker @glorioussunrise said after the event. Some pointed out that Swift has done long nails at awards ceremonies in the past (often by Peña Wong), but the excitement didn't die down
.
And while we don't know what Swift has cooked up musically, we can confirm one thing: medium-long, almond-shaped, sparkly nails are about to become huge.
