Greta Gerwig, director of "Barbie," drums up Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner's burgeoning love story.
While the Internet has been focused on what Selena Gomez allegedly told Taylor Swift (and whether it was actually about Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner), some astute detectives had another fascinating conversation at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards They discovered.
In a video posted by Interview Magazine, Greta Gerwig is clearly seen chatting with Chalamet and Jenner. This appears to be one of their only conversations of the evening, and the rest of the time is spent making out, saying "I love you" (and yelling!), and They spend the rest of the evening doing that.
Gerwig has worked with Chalamet twice before on "Ladybird" and "Little Women," and the two always seem at ease together and appreciate each other, suggesting a friendship that grew out of these projects. She is the one who made "Barbie" possible!
Naturally, the lip-reading amateurs who appeared in the Gomez scandal also reappeared to decipher the situation. They all agree that Gerwig's last words to Jenner were, "I've never seen him happier!"
Ah! This is so cute! [Gerwig seems to be officially acknowledging their relationship, and Jenner has her back to the camera, but her body language is a bit shy and reserved.
The rest of the conversation is not clear from the lip-reading, but some claim that Gerwig told Jenner, "I'm so happy to see you," and Jenner said, "You guys are so great together."
Keep in mind that this is all the product of informal internet sleuthing and that the conversation has not been confirmed by either party, but the analysis is still fascinating.
We also do not know how Jenner answered Gerwig, but we imagine that she asked why Chalamet did not appear in "Barbie."
Is she saving him for "Barbie 2"? Greta, get in touch and let's make this script happen together."
