Tina Knowles Praises Daughters Beyonce and Taylor Swift's Successful Tour: "It's no small feat to stimulate the economy."
Eldest daughters Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are the two biggest culture juggernauts of the summer (after Barbie), and Tina Knowles holds both women in high regard.
With just two words, "renaissance" and "era," these two women have dominated the past few months. And on her Instagram account, Knowles shared a screenshot of a New York Times Facebook post about an article analyzing Beyonce's Renaissance World Tour and its economic impact.
"Anything Beyoncé does becomes a cultural event, but the Renaissance World Tour has become a cultural movement," the New York Times caption read. By the end of the tour this weekend, it will have generated an estimated $4.5 billion for the U.S. economy."
Concurrent with the post, Knowles acknowledged the economic success of Swift's Eras tour as well as Beyoncé's tour, writing, "This is so great! It's no small feat to stimulate the economy!" He wrote. And I tagged Beyonce and Swift." Just being a young woman and being able to say this is so great!" She added. I'm so proud of you both!"
Octavia Spencer echoed Knowles' sentiments in the comments section, quoting Beyonce's song, "Who runs the world? #Girls."
Speaking about her daughter's show, which is playing its final show tonight in Kansas City, Knowles said, "What I find fascinating about the Renaissance Tour is how diverse the audience is. I saw people of all ages, from very young to about 75 years old, jamming to the music. I even saw people move out of the way to see people shorter than themselves. But there is kindness and acceptance at this concert; there is no judgment. It is full of love."
She continued. 'I cry every night when I see examples of kindness, friendliness, and acceptance from people of all ages, all races, all genders! There appears to be no racism, classism, sexism, or ageism! This tour is about spreading love and celebrating differences! It is a celebration of love and a beautiful thing to see! The Renaissance is a movement! I am not ready to see it end yet! How about you?
The tour may be ending tonight, but several media outlets are reporting that Beyoncé will also be releasing a film about her tour: A Film by Beyoncé has been announced and a trailer for the documentary has been released.
And as the Renaissance World Tour closes tonight, "Eras" continues through 2024-Swift still has shows in Latin America, Australia, Asia, Europe, and Canada, with a six-day stop in Toronto in November 2024. concluding the tour.
