Jodi Turner-Smith files for divorce from Joshua Jackson after nearly four years of marriage.
So what is going on in Hollywood right now? There have been a lot of divorces this year, especially this summer and fall, that we never would have expected, but alas, another one has happened: TMZ is reporting that Jodi Turner-Smith has filed for divorce from Joshua Jackson, the two were married in 2019 and will be married in 2020. They are the parents of a 3-year-old daughter, Juno, born...
According to TMZ, Turner-Smith cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce, and Turner-Smith, who is represented by renowned celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, wants joint custody of her daughter and to remove spousal support from both Jackson. No prenuptial agreement was signed and the separation date is set for September 13.
Turner-Smith and Jackson met at Usher's birthday party in 2018 and became engaged just a few months later, TMZ reported, "The two went to a Beverly Hills courthouse to get a marriage license before most people even knew they were dating." The two made their Instagram official 10 days later with a photo of them gazing into each other's eyes during a dinner date."
They sparked breakup rumors in September 2022 when they unfollowed each other on Instagram, but "attended the Academy Awards in March and looked very much like a couple," TMZ reported.
According to People, they were together in New York City on September 9 to celebrate her 37th birthday. They were also spotted together at New York Fashion Week last month, while Turner-Smith went solo to last week's Albee Awards, hosted by George and Amal Clooney. Turner-Smith once said of Jackson, "I think it's really beautiful to be with someone who is so supportive and so loving. 'We are so similar in so many ways. We are like mirrors of each other. I really love that human being."
This past May, Jackson told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen that he knew Turner-Smith was the one when she walked into the room the night they met.
This was the first marriage for both Turner-Smith and Jackson.
