Prince William and Princess Kate Celebrate Black British History Month in Wales

Prince William and Princess Kate are visiting Wales today, Tuesday,

to mark Black History Month in October in the UK.

A Kensington Palace press release shared on Twitter by Omid Scobie reads, "To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush in the UK and the beginning of Black History Month, the Prince and Princess of Wales will visit Cardiff to meet members of the Windrush generation and celebrate the work of the region's diverse communities," it reads.

"While in town, Their Royal Highnesses will also visit local schools to hear about the wide range of opportunities they offer their students across the curriculum and their work around the Windrush Generation."

"Prince William and Princess Kate will mark the beginning of #BlackHistoryMonth in the UK with a visit to Wales, where they will engage in two activities focused on how young people of color are creating positive change in the country.

According to the Daily Mail, the two royals have already met with a group of schoolchildren gathered outside the Grange Pavilion, where they will meet with Windrush Sioux Elders, Black History Sioux 365, and Ethnic Minority Youth Forum members to meet.
