Sydney Sweeney revives the knitted headband trend of the early 2000s

There are many ways to have fun with headbands. Wearing a crown like Blair Waldorf, accessories subtly but clearly let everyone know you're in charge. At the gym, headbands are a practical dream, protecting you from the dreaded sweaty bangs. And these days, you'd be hard-pressed to find a "get ready with me" video without a terry band framing the beauty creator's face.

For Sidney Sweeney, a thick knit, early 00s version of the accessory was the perfect choice for a lavish dinner. Black, elastic, and more than a few inches wide, Sweeney used this casual headband at a Paris Fashion Week dinner party hosted by Miu Miu on Tuesday, October 3.

The headband was also used for a makeup look by White Lotus star Patrick Ta (also reminiscent of the early 00s!) ) and Rita Lowry's hair extensions were separated. In keeping with this early '00s theme, her hair was dyed a platinum color, subtly different from her usual honey color.

"Tonight we go to Paris," said hair stylist Glen Oropeza, aka Glen Coco, as he introduced the "Hibike! Euphonium," he captioned a collection of photos showcasing the actress. He did all the work on her glamorous hairstyle, but the origin and reason for the headband remains a mystery.

The 'What We Know' beauty look was paired with a sequined black mini-dress featuring bold buttons and a prominent cream collar. Snaps by a hairstylist also showed Sweeney's white patent platform heels, indicating that she was perfectly accessorized from head to toe.
