Shakira's hair is very long now.
Amidst the abundance of on-call stylists, extensions, and wigs, Shakira has always maintained a consistent hairstyle. While some celebrities are constantly changing their hairstyles (and we love it!) ), when the 46-year-old Shakira appears at an event or performance, it's usually in a version of her signature hairstyle. It's long, textured, honey blonde, and healthy-looking - that's the Shakira way.
Still, the Colombian idol recently debuted even longer hair, proving that sometimes you need a little change to make a big impact. on Wednesday, October 4, while speaking to Billboard to celebrate Latin Music Week, Shakira's hair was was up to her waist when she stood up and grazed the couch when she sat down, making it look longer than ever. Styled by her regular hairstylist, Honatan Rendon, the hairstyle was different enough to make me really take notice. Not that it's hard to pay attention to Shakira.
The "Beautiful Liar" singer, who is quite curly to begin with, wore her mermaid-length hair loose and wavy for this event, and her color was warm blonde, a recent favorite. She answered questions warmly in a black leather mini dress, and the lack of other major changes made her length stand out even more. She completed the outfit with a pair of black over-the-knee boots, also super long. (I'm no expert on measurements, but I think her hair is long.)
We've known Shakira with beachy blonde hair for so many years that many don't remember her being a natural brunette; in a 2021 interview, she said she wanted to see her hair "in a different way" She revealed that her one-time desire to "see my hair in a different way" led to a long relationship with color.
"Sometimes I miss my super shiny black hair. Because once you bleach it, it never shines the same way," the "She Wolf" singer said. "I messed with my hair too much. Now that I've let it go a little bit, my hair is looking good again."
[10The color may not be natural, but Shakira has done what she can to make sure her hair always looks healthy. And simplicity has given her the best hair. In a past interview with Marie Claire magazine, the Grammy Award winner said that her beauty secret is "Less is more." Great advice, but sometimes... Sometimes more is better! As for length, anyway.
