The three "Plastics" were spotted in Los Angeles yesterday filming a "Mean Girls"-inspired project.

October 3 is "Mean Girls Day" and "on October 3, he asked me what day it was." So the same week (October 6, to be exact), the three stars of the 2004 hit movie, Lindsay Lohan (as Cady Heron), Amanda Seyfried (as Karen Smith), and Lacey Chabert (as Gretchen Weiners), were shooting a secret project together People reported that Amanda Seyfried (Karen Smith) and Lacey Chabert (Gretchen Weiners) were spotted filming a secret project together.

According to the magazine, the three were spotted yesterday filming with a camera crew at a football field in Los Angeles. (If you have a very strange reason for not knowing what we are talking about, please make it a priority to see the movie "Mean Girls" this weekend. Please do. You can thank me later.) One member of the Plastics, perhaps better known as the Queen Bee of the Plastics, Rachel McAdams (Regina George, who played the ultimate Mean Girl), was not present for the shoot.

"The ladies were all smiles," People reported, adding that Seyfried and Chabert were "dressed in pink, as any self-respecting Plastics would wear on Wednesday." Chabert was seen driving a silver convertible similar to the one in the famous "Ride the Loser, We're Going Shopping" scene from the iconic movie (released 20 years ago next year, just in case anyone wants to feel dated today).

Seyfried was also photographed "wearing a blazer and holding a microphone. Perhaps he is aware of the scene in "Mean Girls" where she is in charge of the school weather forecast and informs the students that 'there is a 30 percent chance of rain already. On Lohan's part, she was on the set dressed all in black and carrying a zippered pouch with "Plastics Club Member" written on it.

Details of the shoot are being kept under wraps, but the film turns 20 next year, and "Mean Girls Musical" will debut to celebrate. Fey, who also wrote the musical, announced the project in January 2020. In the musical, Fey will reprise her role as Ms. Norbury, along with Tim Meadows, who will return as Principal Duvall.

In February, Seyfried told "Entertainment Tonight" that she is "100 percent on board" with the idea of making a cameo appearance with her former co-stars.

Speaking of October 3, on Tuesday, Paramount Pictures released a mini-clip of the entire movie on TikTok in honor of "Mean Girls Day." Enter, losers. I'm watching the entire movie Mean Girls," captioned the first of 23 uploads.

And for those worried about where Regina George is, don't worry: McAdams says she is open to making a sequel to "Mean Girls" in the future. McAdams said after being asked about a sequel to the film, "It would be fun to play the second half of Regina George's life and see where life has taken her."

Lohan, who just gave birth to her first child this summer, is also in favor of a sequel, telling David Spade's "Lights Out with David Spade" podcast, "I should probably go back to working in movies at some point." She added, "I think I hung on to 'Mean Girls' for a really long time. I wanted to come back with 'Mean Girls 2. I wanted to work with Tina and the whole crew and Mark Waters again. That's what I wanted. I was excited to do that. But it's all in their hands. So that's definitely exciting."

Maybe it will happen sooner than we think!
