Francia Raisa, referring to the Selena Gomez drama: "We weren't in a great place.
Francia Raisa and Selena Gomez's friendship was strained for a time, but after discussions, it appears that they are back on good terms.
Raisa attended Gomez's Rare Impact Fund Benefit gala last week, looking beautiful in an asymmetrical sequined silver gown, showing her support for mental health causes.
But things have seemingly not been going so well between the two women in recent months, so the How I Met Your Father actress was asked about the so-called tension on the red carpet.
"Listen, if I hadn't gone to the Internet, it wouldn't exist," Raisa told E! News.
"But obviously it got to me. I got some pretty crazy comments . I had to block some people. I couldn't look at the Internet for a while. And people asked me, 'Are you okay? ' And honestly, we weren't okay because we weren't in a good place. But at the same time, we needed time apart." [I'm not used to people entering my personal relationships, so it's a little different this time. But yes, there were a few times when I thought, 'You guys, leave me alone! ' There were a couple of times when I thought, 'You guys, leave me alone!'"
Lysa said, "I'm not used to people entering my personal relationships.
Raisa and Gomez have been incredibly close over the years, with the former even donating a kidney to the latter in 2017 when Gomez was battling lupus.
Last fall, however, Raisa was apparently offended by a comment Gomez made in an interview in which she claimed Taylor Swift was her "only friend in the industry." Then there was the act of unfollowing her on Instagram, but it all seems to have been resolved in the months leading up to now.
In July, Gomez sent Raisa sweet birthday wishes on Instagram. Raisa "liked" the post. but did not comment.
Then in August, the two enjoyed a girls' night out at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, and all seems to have been well ever since.
