Princess Kate no longer wants to help William and Harry reconcile, Paul Burrell claims.
No matter how many times we here at MarieClaire.com have wished for a reconciliation between Prince William and Prince Harry, there is no sign of it happening.
Princess Kate has often been touted as the only hope to bridge the gap between the two over the past few years, but experts and officials are beginning to give up even on that path as the royal brothers show no signs of ending the stalemate.
"A lot has been said and people have been hurt," Paul Burrell told The Mirror.
"I don't think they can make up right now. It will take time. It's still very raw and the royals are not forgiving. If anything happens, they will pull up the drawbridge and not let us in."
Of course, William and Harry began to drift apart when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the decision to step down from royal life and move to California. Since then, Prince William and Princess Harry have reportedly felt increasingly hurt by the Sussexes' exposure of themselves in the media.
"The only one who might have a chance of reconciling with those girls would be Kate," Burrell said.
"I honestly don't think Kate wants to. And I think they need to heal this wound before they attack again. And I think it's still very raw within the royal family and no one really ...... I don't know how to heal this rift."
Burrell's comments in the press sometimes take a dramatic turn, but these particular comments have recently been corroborated by many others.
For example, earlier this year, one official told OK! The lines of communication are now completely over. Harry has said that he and Meghan will not be returning to the UK full time.
So don't hold your breath for a nice family reunion.
