The romance between Cher and her boyfriend Alexander Edwards is on a roll.

In a new interview with People, the "Believe" singer said she has been truly happy with A.E. over the past year and has learned from their relationship that it is "never too late" to find love.

As for how it all began, the superstar recalled that she and Edwards met briefly at Paris Fashion Week 2022, after which a mutual friend gave the younger man her number.

"I was really shocked because people wouldn't give them my number. I told all my friends, 'I'm too old to date younger guys, and I'm never going to have a texting romance. So I did what I said I shouldn't do!" (Cher is 77 years old. (Cher is 77, Edwards is 37.)

As to why she did not practice what she preached then, she commented, "Because he is so special."

She said, "He is so special.

She continued. 'I hate it when people say people are special, but a lot of people say I'm special, so I can say he's special.'

From what she revealed in this interview, Cher seems to truly believe in life after love.

"I love being with him no matter what," she said. [He makes me laugh and we have fun. What I've learned is that it's never too late. If you write out all the stats, you think, 'This is fate. But we were together for a year, and if it was only one year, it was worth it. We had the best time."

"If you have happiness, don't think about how long it will last. Think about 'how it makes you feel' and live in the moment."

This feels like pretty universal life advice.
